W. Bronston (Partner)
Mr. Bronston began his legal career in 1989 handling
business transactions, contracts and business litigation matters. In
1993, he co-founded the law firm of Nowalsky & Bronston, LLP (now
known as Nowalsky, Bronston
& Gothard, APLLC) to focus exclusively on
providing legal and regulatory services in the telecommunications
industry. Since that time, he has utilized his background in
corporate and business law to develop extensive knowledge of legal
and regulatory issues affecting telecommunications companies.
For the past 13 years, he has provided advice and
counsel to numerous clients, including MCI WorldCom, Inc., Global
Crossing, ITC DeltaCom, Inc., CapRock Communications Corp. and
Broadwing, as well as various other established companies and
start-up ventures. Mr. Bronston has served as corporate and/or
regulatory counsel in over one hundred (100) transactions (including
transactions with an aggregate value of over $1 billion in a single
year).
In addition, Mr. Bronston served as counsel to LDDS
Communications in numerous matters, including LDDS’ internal
corporate consolidation project resulting from the acquisitions of
MFS Communications/UUNET ($14 billion), Wiltel ($2.5 billion), IDB
Communications ($800 million), Impact Communications ($180 million)
and Dial-Net ($100 million).
Mr. Bronston has served as a director of various
telecommunications companies, including, most recently, Benchmark
Communications, LLC, a provider of satellite television, local
telephone and long distance services to multi-dwelling units in the
Gulf South.
He is also a co-founder of Seruus Telecom Fund, LP,
a private venture capital fund dedicated exclusively to the
communications industry. The fund invested in several communications
and connectivity companies, including iBASIS, Inc. which completed an
initial public offering and listing on NASDAQ.
Mr. Bronston is a summa cum laude graduate of Tulane University’s
A.B. Freeman School of Business and Tulane Law
School.
