Personal
Injury
"Personal injury" broadly describes an area
of law concerning the restitution and compensation for persons who
have wrongly suffered injury or death. Our commitment to the public
good for all citizens has made personal injury an important part of
our practice. We have represented numerous victims of
automobile collisions and offshore accidents. We have litigated these
cases in several states, including Louisiana and Mississippi. We
handle a full range of medical negligence claims, from nursing and
hospital negligence to failure to diagnose and malpractice claims.
With many offshore platforms, rigs and vessels
servicing oil fields off the coast of Louisiana, the Firm has handled
a broad range of personal injury claims involving admiralty, maritime
or offshore litigation. We carefully investigate each claim to
maximize recovery for our clients under the Jones Act (seamen),
General Maritime Law, Longshoreman and Harborworker Act, and local
state law.
The Firm is also actively pursuing claims for
damages or injury and/or death resulting from Hurricanes Katrina and
Rita, including business loss, property damage, insurance claims,
serious personal injury, wrongful death, medical negligence or
nursing home neglect.
